The women in these photographs have gone through an empowerment program run by the Aid and Development Agency in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Most of these women come from families living below the national poverty line, individuals who are in dire need. The ADA offers these women vocational training and helps them start up their own businesses in order that they might begin to support themselves, their families and their communities.
